Whatever Happened to Janie

I read the book Whatever Happened to Janie by Caroline B. Cooney. I chose this book, because
I read the book before it. Which is Face on the Milk Carton. When I finished reading that book I just had to
read the next book. Whatever Happened to Janie was a great book. As soon as you start reading it you can't put it down. It is mostly about a girl named Janie Johnson that lives in Connecticut and moves to New Jersey
and her name is now Jennie Spring. Janie (Jennie) now lives with the Springs instead of the Johnsons. She
has to learn how to be a Spring instead of a Johnson.
"Janie penciled a wide harsh line through Jennie Spring and wrote carefully, and in her very best
script, Janie Johnson." (Whatever Happened to Janie, pg. 64) The conflict in this paragraph is that Janie
(Jennie) doesn't want to except that her real name is Jennie Spring. She doesn't know who she loves more
the Springs or the Johnsons. She cares about both families, but doesn't know who she wants to be and which
family she wants to be part of.
I liked this book a lot. It is very interesting. I like this book, because you get glued to the book once
you start reading it you can't stop. It talks about a decision that Janie (Jennie) has to make and it could happen
in real life. Someone could compare this to their life or someone's life they know about. I would recommend this
book to people that like mystery books or like books that can become a reality. If you read Face on the Milk
Carton
I would recommend this book so that you can know what happens next in Janie's (Jennie's) life.
