I read the book, The Forest Of Hands And Teeth, written by, Carrie Ryan . It is an apocalyptic story filled with more lies than truths. This book is about a girl named Mary who lives in a world surrounded by death.
She lives in a village with a fence surrounding it to protect everyone from the Unconsecrated, people who have been turned into cannibalistic monsters.
"Whether the fences were to keep the Unconsecrated out or the living in we no longer know."(The Forest Of Hands And Teeth. page 27) Slowly but surly, Mary's world comes crumbling down, and secrets that have been hidden, are revealed.
I liked this book for a few reasons. One, it never got boring, it always held my interest. Two, I love the authors style of writing because it brought out the emotions of the characters. Three, it had an interesting plot and story line that was laid out amazingly. I would recommend this book to people who like mystery, adventure, and tragedy for this book holds all three.
