The title to this novel is Cornelia and the Audacious Escapades of the Somerset Sisters. The author of this story is Lesley M.M.Blume. I decided to read this paticular book because of the cover it was like pretty and it has this cute black cover on it and then I read the summary of the book and it seemed like a cute book to do a essay on.

The main characters in this story is Corneila Street Engelhart she is this young pre-teen girl but she is very quite and has no friends, she is quite lonley. People don't understand her so they make fun of her but her secret weopon is unusual, big, complicated words. She loves reading dictionarys from all over the world that her mom Lucy brings her.Corneila craves her mom attention but doesnt want to become her and everyone uses her to get closer to her mom. Her mom is Lucy but she is not really around Corneila's life because she is a famous pianoist and she tours all over the world all the time and leaves Corneila at home with their maid who is praticlly family to Corniela. Madame Desjardins is the french housekeeper who has always supported Corneila since she was born they fight like mother daughter but love each other the same.She is very noisy and chatty but loving at the same time.Then there is the other major charachter in the story named Virginia Somerset she is a elderly woman who moves across the hall from Corneila. She becomes Corneilas best new friend she tells Corneila these amasing story's she did back when she was young with her three other sisters. They really understand each other and love being around one another but in the end when there as close as can be there boond gets seperated sadly.

There is like this main saying in the story which is called
'Attention!Chien Bizarre." this sayings is the reason why these characters come together and get to know each other it means bizarre dog lives here. I chose this quote because this is how the whole story begins and it repeats in the story itself.
