Introduction

The title of my book is THE PEARLS OF LUTRA by BRIAN JACQUES and my selection was based off really one thing. One is, that I have read the series this book is from and I love it. It is one of my favorite series ever and this is the only one I have not read.

Summary

The main characters are Grath Longflectch, an otter from the Holt of Lutra and her entire family was slaughtered by sea vermin and she has sworn revenge. Martin the Warrior of Redwall is a mouse from the abbey of Redwall and is on a search for his Abbot who was taken prisoner by Lask Frildur. Ulbaz, the Emperor of Sempetra and leader of the sea vermin, he was the one who ordered Graths family murdered in his search for the pearls of Lutra. Clecky is a jolly hare who accompanies Martin. Lask Frildur is monitor lizard King and General of Ulbaz.

The main plot is that emperor Ulbaz is sending a raid to find the tears of all oceans; six perfect pearls of untold value which he thinks are at Redwall. So he takes the abbot prisoner. But he doesn't know that there are warriors at the Abbey and they are ready to risk it all to save their Abbot. Lead by Martin, Clecky the hare, Grath the otter, two shrews and an otter called Inbar set out on a rescue mission to the Island of Sempetra. Will they rescue the Abbot? Read the book to find out.

Quote

"Yore trident- rats 'ave changed sides" he gloated. "They've got a new leader. Me! Sagitar says to tell you 'er 'ead ain't decoratin' no trident on the jetty. Yore finished, Ulbaz!" I chose this quote because it marks the turning point in Ulbaz's fortune and the beginning of his downfall.

Rating

The rating system I used is up to six. Six being the best and zero the worst.

I give this book 6 out of 6

Jackson,
It's always wonderful when you find a series of books that you love! It's exciting to wait and see what will come out next! Your summary starts out great. I could have used more detail in the rating and recommendation section. Why did you give the book that rating? What icon did you use for rating and why? I'm looking forward to hearing more from you about these books!
